Day Habilitation
(DH) services are funded through the Medicaid Waiver and are individualized
programs that endeavor to teach, model, support, engage, and inspire their
members to grow and become more fully realized as adults. Volunteer jobs,
field trips, sports, art making, literacy skill building, cooking classes,
gardening and photography are some of the means which are utilized to assist
in the expansion of the individual’s social-emotional development.
Site-Based Day Habilitation
provides services by melding center based learning with community inclusion
opportunities, which provide a real-life proving ground for the practicing and
development of new skills.
Without Walls Day Habilitation

implements a community as a classroom approach. These programs operate totally
in the community and are focused on volunteer opportunities by increasing
individual abilities in real activities within the community.

Our
Newest Day Habilitation Service Opportunity
is for young people, both for those graduating from high school, as well as,
those still in high school. The transition from adolescence to adulthood can
be challenging and the preparation for a successful and joyful transition into
the adult world is essential. This program works toward increasing community
integration and life skills by choosing activities based on the interests of
the participants while providing new experiences in order to broaden each
person’s horizon. The program is strongly focused on providing volunteer and
recreational opportunities as the primary means of life-skill building.
Clinic Services
are available to participants of the Day Hab programs by referral through the
PARC clinic, including Psychiatry, Psychotherapy (group and individual),
Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Nutritional
Counseling, and Rehabilitation Counseling.
